Business Project

You are required to create a business.  As part of this project you will understand how businesses are conceived, formed organized and maintained. You will be working on this project on a daily basis.  It is mandated that you will have the necessary materials with which you during class, as you will need them for your daily activity.  Based on your business organization the maximum number of persons you can form a business with will be 3. Based upon your business organization type you must select a leader whose responsibility is to ensure that each student is on task.  Students who do not participate in the project will receive a failing grade. No Late Projects will be accepted regardless of the reason(s)!!!!!!!!!  The following are the steps that you will take to formulate your business                                   Elements of the Business Plan 

-State your business organization type and why you chose it.
-List the Factors of Production

-List start-up costs

-Discuss options for financing.
-Create a name, logo, slogan, business cards and a coupon.

-Create a Mission Statement
-Interview someone of a similar business
-Create a hypothetical entrepreneurial profile.
-Explain your target market

-List and explain your competition
-Create a Print or Video Ad
-Create a floor plan

-Create a demand survey, a demand curve, and figure out the best possible price for  maximum      revenue on your best selling products
-Name three changes in supply and three changes in demand that effect your business. Graph an example of each.
-List the cost of creating a single unit and how many must be sold to break even.
-Analyze 5 websites of businesses similar to yours

-Give a list of your employees and give detailed job announcements for 4 positions
-Create an employee manual
-Give current local, state and federal unemployment numbers. Explain the job outlook.
-Explain how government will affect your business. Focus on regulations.
-Explain and graph how minimum wage will affect your business
 

Organization of information

-Create a portfolio of all written items (binder etc)

-Create an extensive works cited page (bibliography)
-Include a table of contents and each section labeled separately

Display board
-Create a display and backdrop that will include various items.
-On the display, place 1-2 additional promotional items that will attract customers.

 


 

 

Midwinter Break Project

 

You are required to keep a personal log for 5 days in which you record situations where you had to make choices because of lack of money, time, or personal resources.  You must include the following, marginal costs, marginal benefits, choice and opportunity costs.  Please include the date for each situation.  Due Monday 25th  February 2013

 You must also find pictures from magazines, newspapers etc that relate to the choices you made and the opportunity costs that you incurred.  You may be required to present your project.

Your project must be placed on construction paper and or oak tag paper.  It must be large enough to include all sections of the project.   All items must be labeled.
